Details:

OGOPOGO is a Beneteau Moorings 432 built in France in 1989.
She is a beautiful and well-built blue-water cruiser, perfect for either roaming around the world or relaxing on anchor near her home port. Her sails are in good condition and engine runs reliably. Her interior is well cared for with almost lovely joinery and comfortable soft furnishings. She sails comfortably, quickly and is easy to handle alone or as a couple.
She spent the first 12 years of her life sailing on the waters of the Carribean. Her previous owners conducted a fairly extensive refit in 1995 preparing her for their plans to sail in other oceans of the world. Since taking ownership in 2002 her current owners have done a complete below-decks refit with ongoing maintenance as they sailed from the Pacific Northwest of the United states to New Zealand, with all the possible stops in-between. She has sailed the round trip between New Zealand and the central Pacific islands 4 times before the owners decided Fiji was a good place to stop.
She is comfortable, cozy, robust and very spacious. The port aft cabin, with one 'kingsize' bed is perfect for a couple to sleep in space and comfort.
The interior is beautifully trimmed in warm teak throughout. The sole is teak with holly spines. The variety of fixed and opening ports, plus a multitude of hatches make the interior bright, light, and refreshingly ventilated. The master statrooms are forward and aft, and both provide luxury and privacy. In this design, there is a smaller stateroom starboard aft with a sink. The large table (which converts to a small one) in the saloon is off centerline to port, completely out of the passageway forward, is surrounded by an L-shaped sofa coupled with the sofa opposite, and will accommodate many for dinner. Facing this to starboard is the galley, well appointed in both equipment and a wealth of storage space, with refrigeration and freezer. This design has extracted value from virtually all of the interior volume; there are lockers, drawers, cabinets, and shelves for everything. There is an excellently sized chart table which is a great space for computers, navigation and charts.
Above decks, she has a cockpit aft. A stamoid fabric bimini with full cockpit enclosure provides good protection from the wind and weather, and adds a whole third living-space. Everything can be handled from the cockpit by one or two people.
On anchor she is makes a great floating home. The 200W of solar panels provides all normal energy requirements, only requiring a 'top-up' from the engine or generator and charger if the weather stays cloudy for more than a few days in a row. There is sufficient power to keep both fridge and separate freezer running, along with the usual demands from iPads, Computers and lighting.
Underway she comes alive, with excellent performance and is a stable, sea- worthy platform. She is happiest on a broad reach and comfortably covered the 3,000 mile Pacific crossing in 23 days sailing very conservatively. Upwind she also makes great progress and points well, with her displacement keeping her moving steadily, any unexpected waves coming down the deck are reflected by the windscreen and bimini.
Designed by Briand. This Beneteau is a great sailing, tough, go anywhere bluewater boat,
The Moorings 432 has two generous double cabins each with its own head and shower, a seagoing galley and a spacious salon. OGOPOGO has a nav station, with a full sized chart table that works well irrespective of the sea state. The salon is very open and comfortable and the linear galley works well at sea or at anchor. There is an excellent amount of storage making the perfect base for extended voyages or simply enjoying the comforts of home on the hook.

INTERIOR:
The moment you step down below into OGOPOGO you see the quality and reputation of Beneteau shine. The interior of OGOPOGO is both beautiful and hardwearing with its satin finished teak and white headliner. It it hard to believe the woodwork is almost 30 years old as in most places she looks exceptionally good. The teak and holly floors are in great condition. The grey/blue upholstery on the berths and settees is comfortable and compliments the interior with its deep wood tones. The upholstery is in good condition considering the age of the boat, and a testament to quality materials. Shutters (Zarcor CluZures) on ports and hatches allow you to block out sun on in the tropics. The layout of the 432 is perfect for a couple or small family – it's a roomy, comfortable and spacious boat.
One striking feature of the M432 is the light and ventilation which are both excellent. She is bright, airy and a very comfortable place to relax and spend time, both in the heat of the day and the cool of the evening. The ports on the sides of the coachroof open to allow breeze and fresh air to easily circulate, they also allow light to enter the boat without too much direct sunlight overheating the spaces below. In total there are 6 opening ports and four large opening hatches. 2 smaller hatches and several dorade vents to help move the air around naturally.
In cooler climates she is naturally at home, with warmth coming from a heating unit or the air conditioner.
In the evening she transforms into a cosy place to relax and read a book or watch a movie. Warm, dimmable, and natural LED lights overhead, reading lights, provide either a relaxing ambient light or more direct light for whatever tasks need to be done. Being LED they draw almost zero power and you don't need to worry about leaving them on by accident.
Interior concept:
Varnished with Bristol Finish©teak and holly cabin sole throughout
Varnished interior teak bulkheads and trim frames.  Rounded bulkhead corners
White vinyl headliner in main saloon and v-berth.
Fiberglass molded companionway steps

SALON:
The main salon is spacious and comfortable. The large saloon table can comfortably seat six and can be easily converted to a small coffee-table size. The saloon is beautiful with its attractive satin finished teak woodwork, its white headliner accented with teak, and exquisite wooden floors. The salon has an "L" shaped dinette to port and a straight settee to centreline. The center settee is hinged at the seat and provides spot for the AC water heater as well as a good dry storage space. The port settee has additional storage beneath which is perfect for food and other dried goods. The port side settee also has storage space behind the backrest. It has also been utilized as a berth, on occasion. There are cabinets for and aft, outboard of the port settee, with a spacious bookshelf between.

GALLEY:
The galley on OGOPOGO is a pleasure to use both on passage and at anchor. The linear design to starboard proved to be very functional and safe on our long ocean passages, even in not-so-good sea-states.
The gimballed oven has three burners with pot holders, a well sized oven and can be covered with a removable counter-top. There is a propane shut- off valve safely located under the oven and an additional solenoid located higher up.
The counter tops are white, marble effect, laminate. The galley is backed by sliding doored cabinets, louvered lockers, solid door lockers and several drawers in total, providing plenty of storage. The extra-deep double stainless steel sink is located on the aft counter with both manual and pressure water faucets. All pressured water passes through a 0.5 micron charcoal filter and provides fantastic tasting drinking water. The insulated refrigerator box is aft of the stove with an adjoining freezer box. A movable 12v fan can be placed anywhere to provides ventilation and airflow when cooking. For your safety and security there is Xintex gas sensor, located beneath the stove to detect heavier propane gas; it is attached to an audible alarm also located in the galley.

NAVIGATION STATION:
Opposite the fridge/freezer, and to port of the companionway stairs is the well sized chart table with instruments, controls, and switches within easy reach. It provides a well protected space for navigation, communications and weather forecasting.
The top opening chart table is large with plenty of room to store & review charts. The radios are mounted above the chart table, as well as the main DC electrical panel and battery monitor.

FORWARD STATEROOM:
The forward stateroom is large, pleasant and comfortable. It has a V berth with infill, a
bench seat with storage below and a large hanging locker. There is also storage under the bed. There are two additional deep storage compartments and 3 other lockers.
Shelves with storage baskets along the upper bulkheads, prt & strbrd 12v cabin fan
Opening deck hatch. The forward stateroom has its own ensuite with head and shower.

AFT CABIN PORT:
The port aft cabin has a very large kingsize berth with a hanging locker, a shelf for storage above it, and a long shelf for storage on the outboard bulkhead. The shelf perfectly holds 3 large baskets filled with clothes, linens, spare parts, etc.
The aft-cabin has excellent airflow, with a small fan, two opening ports and a large hatch. We have no trouble keeping the cabin cool and pleasant for sleeping in almost all conditions.

AFT CABIN STARBOARD:
Currently being used as a storeroom and houses most of the AC and DC electronic cables and controls.Twin size bunks.
Lateral shelf with baskets along outer bulkhead
Washbasin
Opening port
Opening deck hatch
12v cabin van

HEADS:
Both heads are comfortable to use and easy to clean, with white surfaces and stainless sinks. The sink nozzles can also be lifted up and used as a interior shower, with both hot and cold water on a mixer tap. Shower water is collected beneath a teak shower grate and quickly pumped over the side by a high output shower pump operated by a switch on the cabinetry. Ventilation is good with both having an overhead hatch..
Both heads have an incredible amount of storage space with cupboards beneath and outboard of the sink/counter. The aft head has a holding tank for use in marinas or protected areas.

COCKPIT:
The M432s aft cockpit provides adequate protection and comfort when sailing, in almost all conditions of the weather and sea. OGOPOGO has a strong, stamoid dodger and a full cockpit enclosure which together offer great sun and spray protection. The center window of the windscreen can be opened for a cool breeze. This enclosed cockpit has added a very enjoyable extra living space.
In the centre of the cockpit is the table with an icebox. The sides of the table fold down when not in use, allowing ample room to move around the cockpit.
The starboard seat of the cockpit opens up to provide access to the starboard berth and aft of the seat is the propane locker with 2.5 gal propane tanks. The cockpit seats have received new white vinyl cushions and seatbacks in 2018.
The helm is aft center with the throttle control on the pedestal and the engine gauges are at the base of starboard seat Winch handle holders are within easy reach of all 3 winches, and the chart plotter and instruments are easily viewed under the protection of the dodger.

DECK AND DECK HARDWARE:

Her decks are fiberglass, with KiwiGrip©adding excellent anti-skid properties.
In addition to the basic equipment on the deck we added a dinghy davit system and a Nova Lift©on the aft-deck.
